Tropical flavours from the cost of Granada
To begin our gourmet tour of Andalusia for foodies, we have chosen the coast of Granada. Known as the Costa Tropical, this little piece of coastline is one of the most picturesque places in the region. It also has a peculiarity that makes it special: a microclimate that allows it to grow a wide variety of tropical products such as avocado, custard apple and even sugar cane. Well, Trini prepares a tropical menu with local products that will delight the most demanding palates. Pistachio ajoverde with anchovies, mango salad with cheese, pork cheeks and a succulent chocolate sponges cake. An Andalusian tropical flavour that will make you fall in love with the cuisine of Granada.
Mediterranean dishes in the land of Sherry wine
Welcome to Jerez de la Frontera, an emblematic city in Cádiz, land of the Sherry wine and cradle of the Flamenco. Mª José’s house is the perfect place to try the essence of Cádiz most traditional cuisine. Our journey through Andalusia for foodies couldn’t miss this amazing place. A selection of Iberian tapas, plus an exquisite salmorejo, a sirloin steak with Pedro Ximénez, and a variety of desserts, you’ll become devoted to Mª José’s cuisine.
Traditional food from the Sierra de Ronda
Let’s go now to the heart of Málaga. Ronda is a beautiful place surrounded by impressive nature. This authenticity is also shown in its traditional gastronomy. Its dishes are as impressive as its landscapes. Cristina & Ani, aunt and niece, will be in charge of making you discover the typical food of this wonderful town. Ronda salad, oxtail snack, migas rondeñas, and a goat’s milk curd with aniseed. Local products for a unique experience.
The stylish gastronomy of Seville
Rosa knows how to show the best of Andalusia to foodies through her cuisine. But also through her style, which is evident in her home, where she will welcome you to offer you the most exquisite dishes. Seville, capital of the Andalusian region, has a very rich and varied gastronomy. And that is exactly what our local cook is offering to her diners. A tasty cream leek, an irresistible stuffed squid, pork loin with orange sauce, and the classic sweet torrijas.
Trying typical dishes from Cazorla in the heart of Granada
Our journey through Andalusia for foodies takes us now to the gastronomy of the Sierra de Cazorla in Jaén. Josefina’s house is in Granada but her cuisine respects faithfully the traditions of her birthplace. The oldest flavours of this land turn into a delicious menu when she cooks for us. Her spinach and salmon timbale is a must, but also her “rin ran cazorleño”, a typical dish from the mountains of Jaén. Moorish pastry and sweet porridge are a delicacy too. Will you give her cuisine a go?
Tasting Córdoba with stunning views
Our last stop in our gourmet tour through Andalusia is at Pepa’s house in Córdoba. The best views of the historic quarter will be the ideal scenery for you to taste a flavourfull dinner. Our local cook will prepare a delicious meal where a simply irresistible seafood paella will be the main course. An assortment of typical tapas will be the perfect starter: potato omelette, tomato toasts, chorizo, meat croquettes… And to end up, a yummy torrija with cheesecake. Not to miss!
